Replacing head on C&C 25'''' 1975

I currently have a porta poti style head with a five gallon holding bag. I want to update it to a larger plastic holding tank.

If anyone has done this before I would like to know the best place to store the holding tank.

Thx

I placed a 20 gal. holding tank in the locker across from the head.
This was on a 27'', not sure of the layout on the 25''.

Many of the holding tanks that I have seen are located under the v-berth.

Under the V-Berth I have my water tank. Originally, the holding tank was directly behind the head. The unit was to small (8 gal). We installed a 20 gal. tank vertically in the locker across from the head. This was tied into a mascerator. Also had a deck outlet installed for the pumpout stations.
