Key West Marinas

We have a Gulfstar 44 and plan to go to the Tortugas and Key West. We want to stay at a marina for a few days in KW and was wondering what marinas people would reccomend.

Key West

Gabe:

Got back from a bareboat charter in the Keys 2 weeks ago. We spent 2 nights at Kings Point (used to be Oceanside) on Stock Island. Just a few min from everything on Key West, and far enough out to be nice and quite. The people were great, everything was nice and clean, and looks to be full service. Not a lot of trans berths, so I recommend calling ahead and checking availability.

Take a mooring! Lots cheaper and still quite convenient!

Thanks - Has anyone ever stayed at the Galleon Marina in KW - any pros or cons about it?

Gabe...we stayed at the Galleon and it is expensive...on the other hand, it is central to everything and anything you need is within steps including a GREAT world-class deli/market. If your wallet can handle the pain, it is a good place to park.
