Safe place to leave Taleisin in Hawaii

Hi
We are considering sailing over to the Hawaiian Islands in October. We would then like to leave Taleisin in a safe spot, a marina where she is protected from any stormy winter winds, while we fly back to home base for five months. Does anyone here have a suggestion?

Thanks in advance,
Lin Pardey

- Lin and Larry,
Pirate is right! I feel it's a real privilege.
I've never been to Hawaii, but just wanted to say thanks for the wonderful books and video's. I can not express what a tremendous influence you have had on my whole family. Your the best! We now have a boat and are cutting the ties that bind us in the landlubber status.

wildcard is an unknown quantity at this point
Sand Island is about as good as it gets, sadly. Slips are impossable to find most of the time and due to the fine folks at DLNR? I think thats who runs them, they are all falling apart while the pocket the slip money.
Sand Isle has moorings and is protected from the sea pretty much. Here is a link for everything in Hawaii.

On behalf of my wife and myself, I'd like to thank the Pardey's personally for causing us to be irresponsible parents, financially destitute and walking on dry land with a 12 degree tilt.

And we wouldn't want it any other way. Thank you for everything.........

Rick Booth and family,
Shere Khan
