Video worth seeing

I encountered this link in another forum, but it's too good not to share here.

?

What's your point? Please give some editorial, it's almost a 6 minute video why should I watch the whole thing? I skipped through parts of it and saw nothing other than a young couple getting into sailing.

its a old running joke, don't expect to 'get it' unless you are planning on an extensive sailing voyage with your bull dogs any time soon.

It could be shortened up into a comedic video... there were "ropes" in the sink... he took a pick of the "bow" - is that the front?... then he photoed the "bracket" where the mast mounts... I'm sure my terminology was as bad or worse at the beginning though...

h16Sailor; ?
pluscard; Yeah I was afraid that the joke was "these guys are clueless and have no right to be sailing". I just didn't want to jump to that conclusion because that attitude pisses me off so much.

Kind of worrying that he thinks the main sail is furled around the furling unit...

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

A great sailing video Hey, they're on the water.....Would love to know what happened after he said oh sh&t

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things y%^&*.....oh never mind. 90% of the people on sailing forums already use that as their signature! I'm not a conformist.

My personal favorite was "VHS" Radio. That's a new one!

I actually enjoyed the way he pronounced "jen-noah" (i.e. genoa)

BUT, I'm ok with making fun of the boat some, but I sure love the guy's enthusiasm for sailing... very good to see.
