Unifridge Refrigeration systems

I just purchased a used sailboat with a Unifridge 12v/110v system which doesn''t work too well. Is anyone out there familiar with them, possibility of rebuilds or?

I have one, which worked quite well, until the motors burned out. Drained a lot of amps too. Presently trying low draw electric motors, but haven't hit the right combination yet.

I hope Steve will appreciate his answer finally. Sure hope the ice cream hadn't melted!

ian, welcome to SN dude. Don't worry about the old post. It's cool. That's what forums are all about.

There are lots of guys around here that will help with your efforts. Try the Gear & Maintenance forum. Hang loose.
