Which Boat for Cruising

In four years time I will be going off on my SE Asia South Pacific and back to Australia adventure. We intend to cruise for 5 years. We are keen on a friends KP 44 but are also looking at other makes as well. Jeauneaus etc seem to be quite realistically priced with over thousands of them for sale around the world. Any feed back on different choices would be welcomed. Steve Leicester Australia.

I'd suggest that you have a look through some of the articles on cruising and buying a boat. There's a lot of good info in there. It may give you an idea about what you should be looking for, depending on your personal preferences. Look in the upper right hand corner of your screen under "Quick Menu".

The KP44 is a well respected cruising boat, but I would suggest you read Nigel Calder's The Cruising Handbook as a very good primer on what to look for in a cruising boat.
