college student looking for summer sailing job

hi, my name is Mike and I''m a sophomore at the University of Maine at Machias. I am looking for a summer job in some aspect of sailing and would appreciate a response if there are any openings. I have a geunine interest in sailing, strong work ethic, and am outgoing and personable. Ideally, I''d like to work as a deckhand on a commercial vessel. I''m open and flexible so please respond and see if I''m what you are looking for in your crew. Thanks,
Mike

First thing you need to do is be aware of THE BigRed on this list -- number 56. He''s the Pirate of Pine Island and a nastier fellow you''ll never run across. He would probably eat your college student innards for a snack and go looking for more. Having said that, his bark probably is worse than his bite. Or even his bight.

Otherwise, there are no openings on my mighty 27 footer for deckhands. Sorry. But good luck in tracking something down. Just stay clear of Pine Island in Fla and you''ll be fine. Or you may want to change your name on here in a feable attempt to save your hide from the fearsome BR56.

Thanks for the warning but he is there and I am here. Changing my name because some "pirate" has a similar 1 is ridiculous. Until I hear from this "nasty" fellow, I''m not likely to care. But thanks for the feedback.

Lighten up, BR140. Smile a little. Besides, BR56 must actually be working on his boat or he would''ve joined in the festivities by now.
