Hi all! I just signed up, but I'm not really new to this forum- been reading here almost since the day my Dad woke up and said, "No man is an island... unless he has a boat!" So far, I'm halfway through "Chapman Piloting & Seamanship" and have learned quite a bit...
What I'm curious of, is if there's any obscure knowledge that we MUST know before we go... i.e. things that will kill or seriously maim one's person, must-have items that you cannot be without, problems with marine life, etc. Also, if there's anyone in the Cabo San Lucas area that wouldn't mind showing me a few things or needs an extra deckhand or two for the day, please give me a holler!
Any help is much appreciated, and I'd like to say thank you to the helpful posts and articles that everyone has contributed to SailNet... It's made learning a lot easier than it could have been!
