Here's a sound I hate.... water rushing past the hull at 3-4 knots... while you're tied up in a slip. We slept to the sound of this at Brielle Yacht Basin in Manasquan NJ.

Sailaway - I know what you mean about the VHF transmissions... we had those (both of them) when we were going down the Delaware River in dense fog

While racing, on the VHF: "Uh, Que Linda, ya wanna bring the mark back?".

From a newbie out for a daysail, "What's that red and white thing following us?"

While having the newbie drop anchor while you hold position in the current: "Rattttle, wrrrrrr, thrrrip, splunk" and then silence for about 15 seconds followed by "Is that supposed to do that?"

I got one for ya, the guy that has a sound system in his powerboat, that probably cost 3 times what the boat did.....................and plays rap music full tilt.

The guy has so much bass his hardware is vibrating lose
