Sailing Weather is Here!

Had a great time on the lake, at Roosevelt lake. Weather was nice, drinks were cool, and Jimmy BUffet kept my foot tappin!

AAhhhhh. It''s great to hear that Buffet is as disdained elsewhere as he is here in the Caribbean. People that have met him or seen him at Foxy''s and over at St. Barth''s say he''s about as full of himself as it can get......can''t even stand the sound of the music.....

Being a Floridian, I''m about as familier with Buffett''s lifestyle as anyone. But you''ve got to separate the man from the music and take it for what it is. Like it or not, doesn''t matter, to each his own. I''ve always enjoyed his music, but wouldn''t want to be in the room with him. Actually, there are few ''celebs'' that I would want to be near.

And on the website, I missed the URL''s of your own websites, where are they? Or, are we only critics? I teach my children to support anyone''s creative efforts.

Stewpee, enjoyed your site. It''s good to see that even those in the middle of the desert can still keep some sailing passion alive.

My daughters take music and art lessons. I don''t tell them what to play, or draw. They are exposed to the variety, and thus play Mozart, as well as the theme song to Titanic. They draw sailboats, as well as their own funky dream worlds. I treasure it all. They also love Buffett, and look forward to March 20th when the fall/winter Buffett ban will be raised (all year round would be too much). They also like Dylan, which in the south puts us in a huge minority.

Now, I didn''t see stewpee''s post as SPAM, and I hate SPAM. I just saw it as sharing his efforts. I could be wrong, often am. Thus, if it was SPAM, launch away. I just saw it as a trailer-sailer page where he shared his stories and those of others. Having had sailboats through my life, ranging from ones you wouldn''t even bother putting on a trailer to my current vessel, I enjoy reading stories about anyone''s experiences, as they enrich my own.
