Pacific Seacraft...Ericson

Hi,
Could someone tell me when did Ericson/Pacific Seacraft(PSC)become the same company?
Did PSC still build boats and call them Ericsons?
What kind of Quality where the Ericsons before and after the PSC deal?

Currently Pacific Seacraft builds several really nice boats(Dana24,Flicka,etc)
I was wondering how the Ericson name came into the mix.

Ericson was a boat company from the 1960''s that built performance cruisers and race boats. At some point in the 1980''s it got into a bit of financial trouble and was bought be Pacific Seacraft. Pacific Seacraft was a company that was building boats that predominantly had been previously tooled by other companies. So it only made sense that PSC would do that.

The Ericson''s built by PSC were generally thought to be a little more robust and a little better finished than the prior Ericsons but at the price of a little performance.
