Well, one of the telltales about their utility is the condition of the sails. A few show salt and wear from the last trip from Hawaii, but the others look brand new and I wonder if they have ever been used. This in a 27 year old boat. I know the last owner didn't buy them. Other than maybe a racer, why would someone go to the trouble of hauling down a 150 genoa to replace it with a 135? But there is sense it what you say, although storage is expensive.

Sorry about your mis-fortune! Ahhh,,, too many sails! What’s a sailor to do? Well, I’ll be a nice guy and take them off your hands if you’d like?

And that is why he is a pirate. He is a sailor and understands your dilemma. Send him the sails! He must be a great guy, and you don't have have a use for those things. And storage, heaven forbid!
