Last yr about this time after buying my Oday30 down at Deale on the western shore I found a mooring on the sassafras river (georgetown)
I most recently(early June) had a very good experiance with Georgetown Yacht Basin when the steering linkage on my "good old boat" decided to fall apart! They are very professionly run and have water taxis, nice facilities, a store, and as I found out a first class repair and service dept.
There are quite a few marinas there on the Sassafras river. (Duffy Creek, Sailing Assocs., Skipjack Cove, The Granary, and more.) Many have moorings. I don't know about temp slips, it seems they are in high demand anywhere. The down side is that Georgetown is a good hr or more from the bay although the river is beautiful and has nice anchorages. The good thing is it's about 1/2 day from the bay side of the C&D
Hope this helps
