Summit North might have something for you. If not, the Bohemia river has a few marinas that might look good, Bohemia is a few minutes south of the canal. If there is nothing there, you might try Havre de Grace Md. HDG is about 30 minutes south of Elkton, which is where you would turn off to get to Chesapeake City, so it's a little farther down the western shore, but not too much.

Last yr about this time after buying my Oday30 down at Deale on the western shore I found a mooring on the sassafras river (georgetown)

I most recently(early June) had a very good experiance with Georgetown Yacht Basin when the steering linkage on my "good old boat" decided to fall apart! They are very professionly run and have water taxis, nice facilities, a store, and as I found out a first class repair and service dept.

There are quite a few marinas there on the Sassafras river. (Duffy Creek, Sailing Assocs., Skipjack Cove, The Granary, and more.) Many have moorings. I don't know about temp slips, it seems they are in high demand anywhere. The down side is that Georgetown is a good hr or more from the bay although the river is beautiful and has nice anchorages. The good thing is it's about 1/2 day from the bay side of the C&D

Hope this helps
Denise

I keep my boat at Skipjack Cove Marina on the Sassafras. Nice marina, good service dept but a god awful ride out the river. still a nice place and they appear to have some empty slips.
