transport to Annapolis

I am thinking of rellocating to Annapolis Md from Erie, PA and may want to take my 26'' seafarer sloop along. Am trying to decide if it would be better to sell and buy a new boat there. Any hints about overland transport, etc. would be appreciated

Unless you have a trailer and can tow the boat down yourself, given the relatively small resale value of a Seafarer 26 vs the high cost to move, you are probably better off selling and buying a new (to you) boat in Annapolis. That said if your 26 footer is a Maridian and you really love the boat then it might make emotional sense to move here as Meridians are pretty rare these days. On the other hand, Merridians are not exactly great "Bay Boats".

Thanks Jeff! Any suggestions re marinas would be appreciated although I am going to try to sell the seafarer.
