Thanks Saildog-as most of you up north are doing, I plan to winterize it myself. I am learning that sailing is not cheap !!
I will try to keep you all up to date on things. I will bring my 1999 evinrude 9.9 4 stroke home with me. I am covering it with a large tarp. No heater inside. Only a hand pump and an electric pump. Bilge is manual. Thanks again guys.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Sailormann will become famous soon enough
Congratulatons on the boat. If you are in an area where things freeze MAKE SURE YOU COVER YOUR BOAT AND DON'T USE SHRINKWRAP.

If you don't cover your boat, water will work it's way under your fittings, into the deck and start a slow but sure expansion and contraction process that will shorten the life of the boat considerably.

Shrink wrap is a waste of time and money. It is very bad for paint and not so great for gel-coat. It is hard to get a good ventilation system in a shrink-wrapped boat. The stuff is bad, bad, bad for the environment.

If you go to Home Depot and get some grey plastic plumber's tubing you can make a very nice frame to cover with a tarpaulin for under $100.00.
