Absolutely Everybody

This has probably already made the rounds, if so my apologies, but I hadn't seen it here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWINygISxDE&NR=1

One of the better sailing vids I've seen on YouTube.

Also, has anyone heard the final fate of Steve Fosset?

Way Cool Video!

That was great, too short though. Makes my boat look like a mooring ball.

Sorry, nothing on Fossett.

My formula for living is quite simple. I get up in the morning and I go to bed at night. In between, I occupy myself as best I can.

Wow! I'm sitting here in tears! That was indeed awsome! I've said it before and I'll say it again: It dosn't matter what type of sailing vessel you have, it's the wind in our sails that bond us as brothers!

One hopes Steve Fosset's final fate isn't that final yet. The news did confirm that his personal EPIRB (he has been shown wearing a Breitling pilot's watch with a personal EPRIB built into the watch) and the aircraft EPIRB both have not been heard from. The watch is limited range and power, probably 24-48 hours. But if he set down on one of the dry lake beds he was scouting...he has survival training, one would have expected a signal by now. One can only hope.

HS-

The Breitling has a PLB, not an EPIRB... An EPIRB is registered to an aircraft or boat, a PLB is registered to a specific person. I hope he's okay...but it isn't sounding too good at this point.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
