Looks like a depression is developing rapidly into a tropical storm..
Be on the look out for tornado's...

Almost on land now..Bet some boats are taking a beating since the wind is up and gust to 60mph

Hope everyone is OK...that sure developed quickly!!
Another TD is in mid Atlantic...could be hurricane in 72 hours and looks like a more northerly track that East Coasters will want to monitor. Will start a separate thread if it gets named:

Just amazing the storm makes landfall and there is a 73kt wind which equates to 80mph..may as well say humberto was a catagory 1 hurricane..

Insails...yup...NWS is completely befuddled as this has NEVER happened before and they were caught flat footed.
On a good note...the wind shear in the area depression 8 is heading should tear it apart by the weekend so little worry there.
