Here Is The Site I Use For Wind And Tide

To all,

I posted this link on another thread, but since I understand most in the US don't know this site, here it is..

Its pretty accurate, and you can get pretty good forcasts..It has locations World wide....I have checked its accuracy...and just for the record, during the ISAF 98% of the sailors used it in Cascais.

12-16 kts for our planned Saturday sail - with 24 kt gusts . . . Perfect!
Thanks Giu - I've saved the link to my desktop.

Nice, thank you.
Is it more accurate than NOAA's forecasting?

I don't know..I don't even know what NOAA is...in my necks of the wood it is better than the INEM (meteorological Institute...they have monkeys), forcasts...

That's what everybody here uses.

NOAA's a joke, they use computer generated voices to report the weather, because the monkeys the government employs to do the forecasting, can't talk.

I'd say they are accurate like a corporation afraid of getting sued It seems like they add 5kts to the wind and a few feet to the waves as Standard Procedure to make sure they can always say - I told you it was bad.... you shouldn't have gone out. If you listened to NOAA only you would never leave the dock.
