Reports!! De-Brief!!
OK everybody who made to the show in Annapolis, stand and deliver!
What was the best thing you saw?
What was the most useless piece of new crap they're trying to foist off on us?
What surprised you the most?
Did anyone meet up?

We had a dozen of so at the meet-up last night.
Best thing I saw was the Outbound 44 (but I'm biased).
Lots of unnecessary stuff for sale that could easily be hand made.
I was probably most suprised by how many people there were, especially on Thursday when it cost an extra $14.

Ya know cam, I didn't even see a solar stik. I did see Ray? (the guy with the long blonde hair) from Manteo though, walking across the bridge.

Good meet up last night.. bought a number of random items, including a need wire stripper, sight reduction tables and a few other odds and ends. There really wasn't anything tremendously new, except for the lack of rain! We checked out the Tayana 48 that they were showing which is an absolutely beautiful boat with an excellent layout. I did see the daysailer of my dreams, however, which I'll post in a separate thread. We'll be going back tomorrow...

Bought a lazy jack system from Sail Care, reupped my Sailing subscription, and bought a few race T-shirts. It was a quick $200. The Waquiez (sp?) were very nice, but I have to say the most impressive boat at the show was the 76-foot Cat. Holy sh!t! See it here:

First off all, I am envious of you guys up in Annapolis. I get stuck with the Tampa Boat Show (should be renamed "Tampa POWER BOAT Show") and Strictly Sail in St. Pete once a year...
Thank you for posting the link. The hubby and I just "oohed" and "aahed" and cried softly to ourselves. Beautiful boat! Must win lotto.....
Have fun up there!
