I guess you're going to go well offshore, then inshore, then offshore...careful with that flying coffee pot of yours, and remember your tethers!

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Sound like last saturday here in the puget sound region, only we had 1-1.5M waves max! I think we hit 8+ knots in my little sub 30'/9M boat going down wind with the spinny up. Ave 5.5 or theres abouts going into the waves. i was busy steering to really verify the speed, I think tenuki saw it hit the 8+ knots while hanging on to the spinny sheet! ave in the 7.x range.

have fun, 2M waves would be more fun in a 12 boat than a 9!

Be careful! Your return was apparantly expected. It looks like the featured article for the week is a winter project you are probably just itching to do on your boat:

21 hours ago Fred announced Alex is back home and went to sleep.
No post from him since.
Folks, what do you think:
a) Was the trip so hard that he needs more than 21 hours of sleep?
b) He forgot Sailnet and is cheating us with some other forum
c) Alex does have a life besides Internet
d) He lost his Sailnet password

f) Fred is still 'debriefing' him and telling him what he did wrong.

NO NO NO

I am here, well for a few minutes..

Had a splendid day with the family away from the boat, we went out for dinner tonight and now we're watching movies, while I try and get my ADSL crap to work..

I will come back soon, more towards the end for the month.

I have many videos and will post about the trip...we had a day of 30kts and 10 foot waves, and we were pounded like hell....

I also have made a few videos for the newbies...just need time as I have stuff to do...
