Exclamation Strictly Sail Chicago Meetup?

Inspired by jealousy, or just because it was a great idea that needs to be continued:

Strictly Sail Chicago, Jan 31 - Feb 3

I've never been, and only been to Chicago a few times so I cannot give advice on plans. Only starting this to help make sure I actually go next year (meant to this past year, but....), so......

Who's in, where should we meet, and when?

I tried this last year and got very little/no response.

But, count me in for this year!

I go to the show just so that I can be close to the boats, plus it means that launching is just around the corner.

Hey that sounds like fun, I love Chicago! I have an old friend I have been trying to meet up with and this is the perfect excuse. I'll see what I can do. Would be great to meet you guys.

Sorry 'bout last year, I saw you try to set it up, was going to go .... I'm lame, I admit it. Trying to redeem myself, so here's the web site for more info:

Anyone else? (I know it's early, I'll be patient, really, I will....)

Sorry BF, I didn't realize that you were so insecure...

Ok, now that you've made a stink, you better be there!

Yes, feeling a little needy right now. Two cups of coffee should take care of that.

tommyt is on a distinguished road
BF,
I always found that I had a hard time getting my SF friends to Chicago in February. Good for you to make the effort. The weather 3 years ago was -20 and last year a glorious 50+ if I remember correctly. The minus 20 I remember well as I was having a hard time getting a cab and nearly froze my bottom off.

I have been kicking around whether to go this year or not. Usually go every other year, but if I do go would love a meet up.

Tom

Wear your "Pelosi '06" button, we'll all recognize you right away. They might not let you on board the Swan though. (g)

I'm seriously thinking about it this year, I'll be on my way back from Green Bay with the wife so I have to decide whether this should be a planned visit or an "impulse". She hasn't really recovered from my unwise mentioning of a Flicka with the house sale proceeds.
