My wife is really incredible I hate her!!!! I'm out...

So, today I finnally installed my computer, plugged it in, and started doing work related emails. (I have to start work in November).

Anyway, yesterday my wife fell down the stairs while holding Luis on her arms. To protect the kid, she dislocated her left shoulder. She didn't sleep all night last night with pain. Today we went to the doc, and she has a tendinitis (or whatever you writte it).

So now, I am here, getting ready to do some correspondence with my customers, and bulshit with you guys, and just had a nice expresso, and such...

she walks in the living room, and says this to me...the nerve....

"Honey (that would be me), why don't I just give the kids thirs baths, and tonight we sleep on the boat.???"

-What?? I asked??

She said:

"this way, I can take them to school tomorrow and you stay on the boat and go sailing earlier"...

So...she's upstairs bathing the kids, I am here typing this crap, and tonight we'll be sleeping on the boat.....

God thank you for this woman....I really am thankfull...she deserves everything form me....

PS...she just cooked this incredible dinner half hour ago!!!! my favorite fish....rolled in bacon with couliflower and white rice with cream....

I am a lucky man.

Obrigado meu amor!

I'm envious Giu - I removed the sails from my boat yesterday - sad day, but I came home to an incredible Roast Beef dinner my wife had prepared and a nice bottle of wine. I became saddened again when she said. "Thank goodness True Blue is put to bed until next season. Now you can start working on the house".

Damn!

Nope... sounds like something Jayme would do actually. I am a lucky man too.

Then on the other hand.... this also sounds EXACTLY like Jayme as well. I've been wrestling with a 30yo shrub in the front yard that i finally got out yesterday.... yard work, yard work, yard work. Then we realized that there are a couple rotten places that need repair.... this is what winter will be about. That,... and my subscriptions to Good Old Boat, Sailing, etc

*edit*... and of course Sailnet.

I guess I'm another lucky one. Mine wanted a condo boat but loves the old boat I bought and yesterday was complaining about not having enough time to come and help me fix things on it.

Definately not your average condo boat:

There's a lot of us blessed out here.... and you have to feel for those whose spouses do not support our passion.

Despite spending all summer fighting breast cancer, 3 months of chemo, with radiation still to come, my wife has been trooper enough that we have broken the 50 day mark in the log book for the year so far. (far cry from last years' 86, but hey - not bad at all and much better than we expected last spring when we got the news).

So here's to all the incredible first mates out there!!

I have a great wife also, she promised never to step foot on my boat again, because one day with 10 people on board (how she invited) we put the sails up and she didn't want them up. So now I stop at Hooters on my way to the boat to pick up crew.
