If you'll be at work today...this is for you....

I uploaded these 2 for my Sailnet friends that are at work now, and can't go sailing...ENJOY!!!

This is so that you can go sailing, even if for a few minutes, off your computer...

These were shot last week 15 miles off the coast of Portugal in 30 knot winds and 8 foot waves AND a bad ass swell. This is what Tom and Val missed...

CAUTION...

sea seckness pills recommended..and a pair of dry shoes also....

Watch the water on deck here...towards the end of the video, its pretty.

And the pounding here....

I don't know why, but in the videos the waves don't look that big, and the looks quite flat....one can only tell by the rocking of the boat...

I'm not working today, not sailing either. Today is the sad day we haul our boats out of the water for winter.

There are 10 kinds of people. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

I had a dream, I was sailing, I was happy, I was even smiling. Then I looked down and saw that I was on a multi-hull and woke up suddenly in a cold sweat.

I know what ya mean about video and pics flattening out the waves. The ones I posted about my little Gale sail didn't do the sea state justice at all. I wished I'd have had a video camera on that trip. Nothing like looking up at the wave tops as ya dive into the trough. It looked like scenes from "The Deadliest Catch" out there. Thanks for the ride Alex.

So, Alex...at what wind speed do you actually reef the sails? It seems I've never seen Giulietta with anything but a full hoist.
