This is where I would have my boat rigged for foul weather. Ah la! with extra mooring
lines and buttoned up tight. Then I would be over at the nearest Restaurant and watch it blow as I enjoy a good meal that is on a stationary table along with a dram or two of my favorite drink.
Now if I was caught offshore then I would
rig for foul weather, button the vessel up tight and enjoy the wild ride, while at the helm.
The trick here is knowing how to
rig your vessel for foul weather (in port or at sea). Every movable object put away, or tied down. Shortened sail and a thermos full of hot liquids. Tea, coffee, cocoa or even soup, what ever you prefer. A secure place for that thermos by the helm also. Then ride it out.
