Sailing Song Videos

The object of this thread is to post your favourite, or not so favourite tunes that have a sailing theme. If you are like me, I am building up a CD collection with only sailing tunes for my boat that has only sailing books, sailing magazines, and sailing videos on it.

So try to find a youtube (or like minded) video to support your song and post it for others to view and maybe add the tune to their collection:

Barrett’s Privateers:

Sailing Into the Mystic – Van Morrison:

Sailing – Christopher Cross:

Sailing - Rod Stewart

Longer boats – Cat Stevens:

Southern Cross – CSN

Virtually ANYTHING by Styx works for sailing, but this is one of the best.

I use to be friends with the drummer from styx. I met him in a club in NYC.

if you can handle a bit of parody/sarcasm, my vote goes for the guys who put together "yacht rock". low budget, but damn funny if you can take it with good humor.
