Don't know what you're talking about....

But I understood the word "MOST".....

I have some calm sailings too, don't I?

Thanks SD, nice videos. My boat went on the hard last Sunday and I'm already land sick. But it's nice to watch.

If you like Peter Frampton, and you like quiet sailing, here you go.

Sailing Videos

I did not want to start another thread for this and this seemed like a logical place given this is only a week old thread. I found this on the trailorable sailboat site and I thought it was pretty unique.

Single handing a Pacific Seacraft Dana 24 and filiming himself with a cam attached to a kite. I have no idea how he keeps the camera aimed at the boat.

that's brilliant. i hope his camera is waterproof though. i'll have to give that a go. i also notice he had a harness and tether on.

i love those danas, but too expensive for the size of boat.

You guys are killing me. I'm staring out the window at a couple of feet of snow and minus 20 degree temperatures!

When I first saw it I exchanged a couple of emails with the guy. He uses an aluminum frame with the camara attached at the bottom of the picavent (new word for me). You can see it at http://brooxes.com/. And he uses a wide angle lens and sets it wide open. The kite is a single-line, 12' Delta (wider than the beam of the boat itself!).

OK, here's a very short and simple video of VENUS, our North Sea 33 as I sailed her into Port Townsend last September. Believe me, it ain't much, but it's all I have of her so far. We were there shooting the Wooden Boat Festival for WoodenBoat Publications, and my camerman shot this from shore as I aarived just before sunset. It's funny, because I'm making television, videos and DVDs about sailing and boating all the time all over the country, and this is all I have so far of my own boat! I have to shoot more, and get some scenes aboard while sailing. The song is "Sailing Life" by my friend Eric Stone...
