Yet another welcome contribution from a good bloke. I've learnt from G's videos but more importantly Ms Wombat has learnt lots. When we were sailing up the coast earlier on and we were playing around with steering the boat by adjusting the main she had it sorted cos she'd seen Bluebottle's video on the subject.

TD, thanks, I am thinking that one maybe the last one....

Made me happy at least someone is watching them...say hi to the Missus for me will you?

what you just said has made me happy.

I got a lot of bad reps linked to them...so I am kinda thinking this was the last one.

I don't know....I made the effort of making them, and some idiots gave me crap for them...

I am going to spend my free time in the malls and shopping instead of making more.

I don't know....

Are you kidding?!?!? Bad reps for what? I've been telling my Alex all about the videos and how useful they are--he is looking forward to watching them too--what the hell is there to bad rep you for? Some people are just criminally stupid, Giu. Please don't pay any attention to them. I know that the vast majority of us are learning from and value the videos and the time you have taken to make them. I sincerely hope that wasn't the last. If it was, I thank you sincerely for taking the time to have made those that you did.

That's ridiculous. Totally ridiculous. (I've been around a few decades and I still don't understand human nature).

I posted a comment saying how usefull they are, to me and to people I have showed them to, which is not few. My point was that they are so well done that after you see them a couple or three times, concepts that first were new and appeared complicated become so obvious it seems you always knew them. And it is a real acomplishment pedagogic wise.

I really hope you keep producing more issues.

You really get bad reps for your videos? Its so hard to believe some idiots could be so inhumane! I can tell you that we all think they are great. Even if its stuff we know already, which in my case I did learn a few things, they are well made and show a lot of care and dedication. I sure as hell don't see anyone else taking the time to offer things up to people they don't even know.

Giu-

Anyone who gave you a bad rep for your videos is clearly an idiot. The videos are very well done and explain things in a very clear way, especially given that you're working in a second language. Keep up the good work, ignore the trolls...

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Giu,
I do hope you will continue with the videos--Last week, on a daysail with some friends, i also tried steering with the mainsail. It was an instant hit with my host and we all took turns trying it out--These are lifelong sailors and it never occured to them to even try it since none of them ever lost a rudder or the ability to steer. They all thought I was a genius ( and I let them think that for awhile, until I confessed where I had found the technique) They all have since logged on to SailNet and watched all of the other videos and loved them--Even stuff that they already knew was made clearer to them, which makes it easier for them to explain it to others-- Do NOT let the idiot minority keep you from making videos-- It is a great service to all, which makes us all better and safer sailors--
sincerely and respectfully,
Kodad
