Resanable Marina in Puget Sound area short term Morage

I am looking for a good marina in the Puget sound, for a 33 footer. It will only be there a couple of months. I am trying to get it from Canada up to the Columbia River but I will be doing it in two jonts. dose anybody have any recommendations for a reasonably priced Marina around the Friday Harbor area

Are you staying with the boat? Or going elsewhere (ie home)? Getting to a boat moored in the San Juans adds 4 hours to travel time each way for ferries, less with floatplanes.

If you will be commuting this summer, I would suggest mainland marinas to avoid the ferry requirement. Places like Bellingham, LaConnor or Cap Sante (Anacortes). Rates will be about $4.50/ft/mo.

If you are staying with the boat or you have the commute under control, island marinas to check out would be Fisherman Bay (Lopez I), Deer Harbor (Orcas I) in addition to the usual ones. Rates will generally be $5.50 to $7.50/ft/mo out there. Check www.48north.com for a complete list. For places like Port of Friday Harbor, you had best be making your deals shortly!!
