My first thought when I looked at the photo was Venice -- but the buildings threw me off -- they looked too modern. I should learn to follow my instincts.

I should have followed my instincts better too, Peg. This was surprisingly hard to find. Looked vaguely like Venice to me. The site where I was finding lighthouses didn't include this one in the Italy list. I wandered all over Europe looking at lighthouses in countries that I thought would have this kind of sheltered coastline. Finally I googled Venice Lighthouse and there it was.
