sailing videos
Hi all, I'm looking for video of some Bayliner Buccaneers sailing. I'm a member of Bayliner Buccaneer Sloops, and The Buccaneers Homeport, but no help there or on utube.

Try sending a PM to Freesail99. I recall his boat being of that pedigree.

I've got a few clips of a US 25 (Same thing as a Bayliner Buccaneer 250) sailing - nothing exciting, and they are rather brief. What exactly are you looking for?

Thanks Im really just looking for clips or something to download, I've recently started a restoration of a 24ft buccaneer 1974. I just love sailing videos, and would like to see some bucc's. I have a helmetcam and hope to post some video next spring(ice permitting).

I will try to figure out a way to upload some video clips to youtube or something - meanwhile I have a few photos of our Sea Scout US 25 ("Vendetta") on flickr (search for user "twcook") to get you started (sorry, it won't let me post the direct URL).

get two more posts and you can do links, or do a "www dot whaever dot com/org........ saying the link.

FYI, somewhere in the last 6 months IIRC, might be 12, there was an article in "48 north", a local NW US rag with a fellow whom did some sail additions, IIRC a bow sprit and turned it into a cutter and got a lot better sailing performance, along with reducing the weather helm it had. should get get you to online version, the go to back mags, and look thru articles to see which one it is, you will probably have to contact them to get a back version. As I do not think this is one they have online.

bit2ski - thanks, I'm getting there (post #9). I'll go take a look at the 48north article, that sounds like fun - although for what we're doing (lake sailing and teaching kids to sail) what we have works well even if it isn't the speediest boat out there (we have an assortment of hobies and other small but fast boats if they want to do that).
