Welcome to Sailingholics Anonymus!
We are here to help you!
Sailing is an addiction!
It's a proggressive addiction that starts small and gets bigger until you are broke or dead!
Sailing addiction can be infectious or inherited! Imagine the ones those your sailing affected; your neighbors, your friends, and your family...
You may have been infected your friends with sailing addiction!
You may have been inherited your sailing addiction to your children!
Please read and observe our 12 step program;
1-We admitted that we are powerless while we sail.
2-Came to belive that a bigger boat than our sailboat could restore us to sanity.
3-Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of our sailboats as much as we understood about fixing them.
4- Made a searching and fearless moral inventory for our sailboats.
5-Admitted to sailing, to ourselves and to other sailors the exact nature of our life.
6-We are entirely ready to have a bigger sailboat to remove all these defects of our current boat.
7-Humbly asked seas to remove our shortcomings.
8-Made a list of all sailboats we've been aboard, and became willing to make amends to them all.
9-Made direct amends to such sailboats wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
10-Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.
11-Sought through sailing to improve our conscious contact with sailing as we understood sailing, sailing only for knowledge of sailors' will for us and the power to carry that out.
12 - Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of sailing, we tried to carry this message to other sailingholics, and to practice these sailing principles in all our affairs.
Our meetings will be held on sailnet forums...
I'll start the conversation here;
Hi, my name is Mert and I'm a sailingholic. It's been 2 weeks since I sailed last. And it's really hard to adjust the land life... I'm humbly trying to control my sailing addiction during these winter months. I pray for will and strenght to pass these winter months.So I can return to sailing and sanity...Thank you...
Have fun with it!
