Got to sail in Novemeber

Took a four day weekend and went on a cruise to the Bahamas.
We had a great time.

Day 2 in Nassau we got to sail on an IAC Class Racer.
Even though it was a tourist driven event, we had a great time.
Julie was our team leader and spent a lot of time at the helm.
After the match started, of course the helm was given to the captain.

I was on the runners as the rest of the voluntary crew were the grinders.

Day 3 was spent lounging on the Beach.
I took the opportunity to sail a couple of hours on a Hobie.
Nice!

A couple of photo's for my friend the photo shopper.

Sounds like a nice November trip. A potentially much nicer November sailing experience than can be had closer to your home (see my thread titled "Welcome to November on the Great Lakes" here: http://www.sailnet.com/forums/general-discussion-sailing-related/38477-welcome-november-great-lakes.html).

My wife and I are taking a Caribbean cruise in mid-February to escape the winter doldrums here in Michigan. Hopefully we can fit in a sail or two just like you did.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Nice ride!

We have just finalized our plans for our next Caribbean trip, also in late Jan/early Feb. We fly into Guadeloupe and spend 13 days sailing down to St Vincent. Plan to take in Marie Galant, Domineca, Martinique, St Lucia, St Vincent and perhaps the Grenadines if there's time. Most likely use Les Saintes as a jet lag recovery spot the first day or two.

This trip fills the blanks between our first two, having done the Antigua - St Maarten route, then the Martinique Grenada last year.

Need I say we are looking forward to it.
