Come on Alex...turn off your motor! We can all do 13.5 knots with the help of a prop and an engine. I'm not buying it!

Seriously, very cool and very fast sailing. Thanks for sharing.

My boat's top speed under power only is 9 kts, lucky to even go close to hull speed under sail.

That's an awesome sailing machine.

It's actually pretty neat how they edited out the tow line from the power boat to his... that explains the low quality of the video.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Someone should perform a close inspection of that keel bulb, the resemblance to an underwater jet drive could be more than a coincidence.

Below is a previously unreleased, cutaway section of Giulietta's keel bulb . . .

. . . any guesses as to where the steam comes from?

even with the video, people still doubt the ability of a well trimmed boat and a well knowledged person at the helm.. And hull speed is just a place in time, and really does not come into play with a simi-displacement boat with a high aspect rig...
I've been called a liar a number of times, and even when they're on the boat, they claim there is something wrong with the insturments...
The rumble of the water under boat that sounds like a freight train comming through the hull... Its kinda like Sex... If you've never
been there, it's kinda hard to explain what it's like!

Just having a little fun and no one has any doubts Randy.

In case you've missed them, Alex has posted previous videos of his speed gauge while sailing, displaying even greater speeds than 13.5 kts.
