You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

My PC is OK...after many hours and $$ from HP tech support...it is my $^$%^% cable company...who put me through 2 hours of idiot excercises then told me their end was fine and to contact the mfr....Idiots.
HP took me through the same excercises and told be the computer appeared fine but then wanted me to do a complete drive wipe and recovery to prove it was not their equipment. Instead I suggested that I walk down the street to a different connection. When that worked...we knew it was the cable guys. Service call Thursday will hopefully resolve the problem. Till then I will be on sporadically as I can get connections.
Thanks guys.

Did you adequately explain to them what your error message was!!????

Sounds like user error. That is what happens when you combine state of the art hardware with 60 year old technology. Oh well. HAHAHA!

I'm glad I have Verizon FiOS for my ISP... Had two outages in two years...and both were less than 45 minutes long. One was at 3:30 AM on a holiday weekend, and they still had the system back up in 45 minutes after I called... and yes, they had live customer support people at 3:30 AM on a Sunday.
