My new logos

Hey, it's been a while since I don't post... but for all you guys, here are my new logos... After struggling with my wife, who actually is a Graphic Disigner, I convinced her to make my logos....
Please let me know how do you like them...
The first one is the "boat logo" withe name of our boat, and the second one is one designed for our registration class in Valle de Bravo.

By the way, it's the official Merit 25 logo, that was traced again.

Flags read: ARGOS or

A = I have diver down, keep well clear at slow speed
R =
G = I require a pilot
O = Man overboard
S = My engines are going astern.

Should be clear enough

I think you need to point to the image instead of the http

It looks like this:

I think the code flags are the wrong shape, since they're usually not square. I would stretch the flags out to the more normal rectangular shape and start them under the "A" in Argos.

I don't like the hollow leech on the mainsail.

The outlined text seems a bit cheesy to me, but that just personal preference—it would make more sense for the lettering to have a drop shadow, like the Merit 25 logo does. Finally, the right edge of the sails don't line up with the right edge of the lettering AFAICT.

I think it's pretty cool. I would probably go with SD's assessment of the text outline - I'm not in love with it. A drop shadow - straight black - would probably look nice behind the text instead. Logos are tough... here's another "A" logo that we created for our last boat:

As for the round logo...

The text looks as if it isn't concentric with the circles. The "Valle" is definitely closer to the text than the "Bravo" is. "Mexico" also looks like it isn't curved tightly enough...

If your wife is using Illustrator, she should definitely re-work the circular logo a bit... I can't say I'm very impressed, given the problems the logo has... it looks more like a rough than a finished product IMHO.
