Lucky fellow!

Actually, I am thinking about a new tender, and an optimist is such a good boat, it might work well as a tender, as well as a racing boat.

Would you recommend it?

The only problem with the Optimist as a dinghy is that it doesn't have much cargo carrying capacity.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I think its a litle smal for you but if it weren't I would say yes.

my dad thinks its small and unstable for a tender.

I can neither confirm nor deny that.... But, I do think that it will be even less suitable as a tender for you after the Hoildays...

Thanks for the advice Fred. I loved sailing Optimists and then went on to Lasers. As I don't fit into my wet-suit any more, I think you are right. (Sigh!)

SD - Pity, I was hoping to regain some of my misspent youth.

Idiens—

I am guessing that if you did fit into a wetsuit, you would resemble this:

bad dog.....bad bad dog...
