This my best shot for your answer.

This is the ANITA in September 1997 with approx. 10 - 15 foot waves in the North Sea, about 60 nautical miles northwest from Helgoland, Germany. The Mizzen Mast was split.

The photographs were taken from the SRK WILHEM KAISEN.

This not the Designer, but, the builder! Well, maybe they designed the boat. I really just taking a stab at this.
