Hey guys. How are you. Happy New Year.
On my way to my New Years destination, we stopped in the
Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima, where we allways go each year. (Yes, Fátima is in Portugal).
This year, we went earlier and there, I made a prayer at the shrine and chapel, for all our friends and fellow sailors from Sailnet, (and those outside sailnet) that venture thru the seas.
As I do every year, I took the opportunity, and also lit a candle for all of us that go out in the seas and lakes (for my US friends), so we may return home every time, to the joy of our families.
I know some of you are not Catholic or religious, but for those that are, here you go...for those that are not...it won't hurt either, consider it a "good luck" thing..
This year also I placed a special prayer for a certain member here.
God bless us all, and may we be here next year again. Have a Happy 2008, and please come home after you're done sailing.
Thank you and enjoy Fátima.

More:
While in the North, we also visited the Sanctuary of St. Benedict of the Open Door (S. Bento da Porta Aberta) he was known for some Miracles, specially very ill people, so we stopped there also.
In Fátima there is also a piece of the Berlin wall, so we remember the "things" man does...just so we remeber to stay humble.
Here it is.
Today, my boat went in the water. I am happy.
