Nice shots BF.

CD - Great pictures, thanks for sharing. My family and I spent a week on Cayo Costa last winter and loved every minute of it. The water was beautiful, the snook fishing excellent and there were never ending areas for exploration. Cayo Costa felt like taking a step back in time...before Florida beaches were covered with highrise apartments/condos/hotels.

Here's my 5 year old on the beach along the western shore of Cayo Costa:

CD,

Good to hear from you, and thanks for sharing the photos. I'm glad you got a break from the "real" world and spent some quality time sailing with your Dad. That's a fine boat he got for himself, and you're a lucky family to be able to sail together like that.

I probably shouldn't tell you, but you'll find out soon enough anyway. We took up a collection while you were away, and one of these will be delivered to your father's boat tomorrow:

Can someone be over at the marina to sign for it?

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Great pic. We have spent quite some time there in the past too... probably right where you were standing. Is that the mouth to Charlotte Harbor in the distance? It used to be my old stomping grounds.

Take care,

CD
