Maptech International "chartlets" online

Hey...I just discovered this so it may be old news to some, but you can look at charts of just about anywhere by going to the Maptech site here:
http://mapserver.maptech.com/homepag...TOKEN=49718305

Just enter the region of the world, country and a place in that country and the small chart will pop up and you can zoom in or out or move around. Not suitable for navigation...but great for planning and chartering. Very kewl!
Here's an example of a place Zan & I like a lot!

Thumbs up I put it into my Favorites

What I like about this. I like playing with a homemade Sextant and my GPS. I can get a quick Latitude/Longitude here for comparison.

Thanks!

What is dumb in that???

First if you select Western Europe, Portugal is not there, yet its the most western Country in Europe.

Second, it starts with Aruba!!!

I am not trusting their maps that much...Aruba in Western Europe...

silly

Can't find Portugal anywhere.

Anyway, Thanks Cam

Funny you said that,

because the Americans, Polish, French, and mainly jews and other war refugees for sure as hell knew where it was, (as you can see in the Casablanca movie and Schindlers List), because Portugal spent the whole of the war fighting to be independent (helped that Salazar was Fascist and posed no threat to fascist Hitler either), for that reason....

Besides, in WW1, we were pretty much slaughtered in France helping them cowards as the Portuguese armies were dizimated as front battalions for the French...we were stupid then..not so much today...and therefore we learnt how to say "váis te faire futre, conard"...to them

You don't have to be on CNN and NBC to show you help in wars...

Just google GNR and Iraque and you will see.....few but brave

This is one of the things I really like about this place, a post about online maps somehow flows into Portugual being the western most country in Europe, to the Portuguese fighting in Iraq. Always something new here.
