Question Miami Boat Show- Any Gunboats Attending?

I was just curious to know if anyone who owns or knows of an owner attending with a Gunboat was going to be at the Miami show in a few weeks? I have always really wanted to see one in person and any insight if you guys/gals can provide would be appreciated!

It's one of these! Very fast! Cam Lewis had been sailing this one around Penobscot Bay and it anchored behind us one night. I'm not a cat guy but if I was......

A Gunboat 48 would be my choice..

It's a BEAUTIFUL crusing/racing cat thats fast and light weight. Look at the gallery of their site and check out the video they have of their 62' in action- it is UNREAL the performance it has! Just go to gunboat dot com and check them out(can't post link yet cause i have too little posts )

South African built, and sailed to the States on their own hulls. As I understand the Sail portion of the Miami show is at Miamar marina, so I wouldn't expect a large number of boats in the water, with the size and configuration there normally.

Gunboats are very high-end luxury catamarans designed by the firm Melvin and Morelli. They also designed Dennis Conner's Stars & Stripes IIRC.

One of my favorite videos is from the Safaricharter.com website, which is for a Gunboat 62. The video shows it passing a Reichel Pugh 80 racing monohull like the poor leadmine is going backwards... You can see the video at www.safaricharter.com

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
