Really bad day

OK maybe it wasn't so bad. I guess it depends on your perspective. Went down to the boat. 67 degrees and 15 to 17 MPH winds. Expecting a freind to come sail and bring some Coronas. I get the boat ready. everthing secure. engine warmed up. All set to go. Here is the really bad part.

He shows up with beer that is almost room temperature. You know what i mean. Bought it at the store from one of those open coolers. Doesn't that really suck. It was the 2nd or third beer before it was really cold enough to give you that special beer to the lips refreshing feeling. Well, we got through the day with the rail in the water and a little sun on the face so thing got better.

Just wanted you folks to share my painful start. Hope your saturday went better. Let the hate mail begin!

Here is I waiting to read that my boat had 12 inches of water inside or even worst sunk. Then I read the issue is warm beer. But there is more, it isn't even noon yet ..... This is also you should run and not walk and buy an Engel 45 fridge - freezer. Think of it as insurance.

Actualy it was yesterday. I try not to drink before noon.

Lets see here, today sunday, winds from 25-40 mph, no start on the race scheduled for the day due to too high of winds. It would have been a fun sail none the less. BUT< I put in a new impeller last weekend, turns out improperly, so on the way out, motor overheats, beat back into 3-5' waves with reefed main, and proceed to fix impeller properly, but missed out on canceled race none the less!

Oh well, I think warm beers and a day of sailing sounds better than no sailing, no beers, no race.....working on the boat instead!GRRRRRRRRR
