Sail Care

Had a great time on the weekend being 3rd over the line in the John Brown Trophy Race in on Westernport. It was a close thing - there was about 2-3kts of tide pushing us away from the finish and we would have come 2nd if a Farr6000 right on my tail hadn't got his mast over first during a knockdown on the finish line!

Finish line at the green buoy. This guy was going sideways faster than he was going forwards-over-ground, so needless to say we beat him easily:

Anyways.. how do you guys look after your sails??

It occured to me whilst hosing ours down on the clothes line that, whilst this might be okay (just) for the smallish sails of an 18-footer, sails for larger yachts might require a different approach.
