I would guess, you're looking at a minimum of 3 weeks to sail her there, and that's without any significant weather delays.
If not living aboard, you may find it better to keep the boat on Clear Lake or further down the ICW, particularly from a cost standpoint. I believe South Texas Boatyard allows DYI.
I also recommend Ed Snyder, with Houston Yacht Sales if you're looking for a larger boat. A long time sailor in the area, he is a broker I don't hesitate to recommend.
