What Other Forums Do You Visit ???

Hi,

I have a list of bookmarked sailing forums I use and get info from, yes other than Sailnet, and I'm wondering what are your favorites? My two "go to" forums are SailboatOwners.com and Sailnet.

I created a list of a few that I like but purposely did not post direct links as I did not want to alienate our fine hosts here..

Here are some of the forums I find valuable:

SailboatOwners.com
- good info and very little bickering

Lats & Atts - Mostly about partying

SSCA - Very good source of info.

CS-BB - Crotchety old know it all's but they can be a very informed lot.

Catalina 34 Forums - Very good info not just for Catalina 34's

Catalina 36 Forums - Ditto the C-34's

Plastic Classic Forums - Perhaps the best "How To" info on the net.

Cape Dory Forums - Ditto the Catalina forums

Ericson Forums - Ditto other brand forums

Sailing Anarchy - Good info but can, at times, get annoying like CS-BB

Cruiserlog's Forums - Very good site but lower activity levels.

Cruisers Forums - Good source can be crotchety at times.

TS-BB Forums - Trailer sailors (mostly beginners) but can be an interesting source.

Cruising World Forums - The original CS-BB that now has low activity levels.

Maine Coast Forums - Very low activity but good info on Maine.

Boat US Forums
- Mostly Sea Ray owners...

So what are your favorite sailing forums and which ones do you get the best info from??

Renegade cruisers

Cruisers Forum

SSCA

I try to limit it, within the false sense that I really have a life.

I have looked at Sailing Anarchy, SSCA, and Sailboatowners but with my limited time I am very content with the wonderful info found here. When I have a question about something this is my goto site because there is a cadre of helpful folks who will try and help. I also come here because I can learn quite a bit and expand issues looking at different opinions.

Since I have a Tayana I visit the Tayana Owners Group(TOG) site. Everything is specific to Tayanas for the most part.

This is all

Relatively new to me...about 6 months...and my wife is on my case about it for "wasting time".
Maybe I read to many of the post which can take a long time but I pretty much have switched form SBO to Sailnet...and have just looked at SA a couple times lately for Tincan info...But there language puts me off in general so I so far like you guys the best...There is that to mushey for ya...

http://BoatDesign.net - a variety of different info than here, as geared towards naturally design aspect, but useful info on technical aspects of composites, epoxies, etc....... but I only participate on here...
