Help identify this boat

All,
Please help me identify this boat! Its a model that my dad was building when he died. He was a New Englander, so the obvious choices are Hereshoff, Alden, possibly Rhodes. Any specific ID is greatly appreciated.

Looks like it might possibly be a bluenose schooner. Hard to tell with no rigging.

Looks kinda like John Alden..

On the model, there is only one spot identified for a mast, so I assume its a sloop, based on its location. I think it must be one of the racing classes popular in the first quarter of the 20th century in new England. I'm looking for a guide that has profiles of such boats, but have not found anything exhaustive yet.

Bardo,

You might try sending a photo to one of the curators at Mystic Seaport. They might recognize it.

Bardo,

What I can identify amongst other things, is the help desk number to call if your laptop ceases to function, and that with EDS, the future looks green :D

I think the model could be a derivation (perhaps a modellers artistic license) of the 12m class from the Americas cup. The closest I could come up with a hull form is a link here and to a J Class Yacht here, both from the 30's, the only real visible difference being the tiller control and the shape of the bow.

I hope this helps

Bloke,
Yes, I noticed the tag is clearly visible. Good luck getting any service out of those clowns. If you do, I'll send you the computer! Thanks for the links. I got a real good lead on the boat, but not exact. Its an Alden 1940 yawl design. Same deck layout and hull shape, but bigger.
