Marblehead to Halifax race

Has anyone here done the race? A friend of mine is thinking of doing it in '09- pulling a crew together. He and I are going to the seminar next Fri at Boston YC.

We have limited offshore experience - although we plan to do some distance/overnite races this year. Between the 2 of us we probably have 40 years of sailing experience on big boats. Of course, we'll get some offshore experienced crew as well.

Boat is a Tartan 33.

Thx.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

The race this year is from Halifax to St Piere, you can get info from Dartmouth yacht club they have a web page where Kurt can put you in touch with sailors who do it every year, you might be able to visit previuos years races and see the trackes they took,
