Why do all the missing mysteries happen in California all the sudden...I think know DJ has a whole new slew of inspirational thriller ideas now

Just amazing (equally disturbing) though...

Maybe DJ is responsible.... and using the cover of being a fiction writer to hide the fact that the stories she publishes are actually confessions of a sort.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I'm sorry...where's the mystery here? The con-man did it, and reported it as "I dunno!" as a diversion.

They should check for missing chain rode, I'm thinking.

I think it is safe to conclude that if you dock your boat at Dana Point you will be murdered!
