No longer a sailboat virgin

After owning powerboats or fishing rigs for most of my life, I got the sailing bug on a crewed charter (actually did it three times total) in 2001. Moved to TX from CO where they actually have some water and took some training, been crewing on some races - decided to take the plunge.

Bought our first sailboat. No longer a virgin.

After owning the boat for 4 weeks, the sail time:repair/clean ratio finally evened out. Already WAAAAY negative on the cash inut ratio. Don't expect that to even out, but I sure hope the curve flattens out a bit.

Been lurking here for a year and learned a lot. Now I have to get my 10 postings in before I can PM y'all and really start bugging you.

New girl is a 1984 Hunter 31, "Caribbean Run".

Thanks! Keeping her on Lake Travis. We've a pretty active sailing community here. The Leukemia Cup had about 80 boats in 2007. That's where I got my racing bug. I got a ride on a J/105 as a jib trimmer and loved it! Took third place in our fleet.
