SD, I think you read the first post with hope in your heart. Close hauled we were keeping pace with the large Catamaran. but when on a broad reach when the Catamaran flew their spinnaker did it pull away. We blew the doors of a Bene.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Simon-

Wasn't the first post... but blowing the doors off of a bendytoy isn't that impressive,... and getting dusted by a catamaran isn't that unusual. Granted, upwind, you'll probably beat the catamaran... but on a reach or run, it'll dust you.

I had a dream, I was sailing, I was happy, I was even smiling. Then I looked down and saw that I was on a multi-hull and woke up suddenly in a cold sweat.

Great video to watch before leaving work and stumbling through a foot of fresh snow to get home! When will this winter end? Off to the club tonight to watch sailing videos with other fed-up sailors...
